The irony is the wish for better performances creates anxiety that reduces achievement of wanted goals. Complications are that performances are based on good health, attitudes, feeling youthfulness, stronger body resistance to the ill effects of a fast paced life. On the other hand, stress is always a threat to put performance to the grind. There is no choice though. If one has to keep up, anxiety levels have to be brought down.

Simple stress management techniques that lessen anxiety

Daily exercises do not only make you feel good but also look good. Exercising releases endorphins in the body that helps metabolism, improves mental acuity, and lowers cholesterol and blood pressure. It also strengthens the heart muscles and has a host of benefits where one of the best reasons is that it keeps you fit to face the daily challenges and the stress that goes with it. Keeping fit also prevents increasing cortisol release in the body. Cortisol is one of the main culprits of obesity.

Daily relaxation techniques. In many parts of the world, tai-chi, yoga and tai-bo are recommended routines to keep the body and the mind fit. In these parts though, relaxing for a while in a good hot bubble bath can do the job. Listening to music is another technique that is usually employed since music has a good way of involving all senses that take the mind off stress inducing thoughts.

Get enough sleep. Lack of sleep will always lower performance. Worse is that it makes a person feel less focused, lowers the immune system and always makes a person tired long before the day ends.

Get good nourishment. A well nourished body is more energetic and resists many ailments. Avoid quick fixes at slimming like fat burners and many of the often called health supplements. Quick fixes are more often things disguised as slimming foods. Performance needs good food. A change in diet may be but never slimming supplements where the case mostly is to prevent the body of nutrients so slimming can take effect. Getting trim fast fixes relies mostly on the mathematics of supplying nutrition in the body. No-one needs that. Instead eat foods that are rich in fiber, anti-oxidants and essential fatty acids where you will look good, fit and ready.
